Ashton Debutantes and Squires ‘tee off’ at Umhlali

The Debutantes and Squires Charity Ball will be held at Braeside on October 11, where funds will be presented to this year's nominated charities.

Ashton’s 2019 Debutantes and Squires hosted a successful golf day at Umhlali Country Club on Friday, August 30.

“The commitment and dedication of these young students who raise funds for their nominated charities, is phenomenal,” said programme coordinator Deneil Habig.

The platinum sponsor was SMG Ballito and Paul Naidoo donated a magnificent Floating Trophy dedicated to the Ashton Debutantes and Squires Charity efforts.

The students sourced magnificent prizes from sponsors and all 22 four-balls received prizes.

“The Debutantes and Squires Programme at Ashton has raised and donated R345 000 over the past eight years to charities like North Coast Courier Orphan Fund, CANSA, LIV Village, Bobbi Bear, St Lukes’ Home of Healing, Jess Foord Rape Foundation and CHOC,” added Jenny van Buuren, head of the Senior College.
