While lockdown does not yet allow horse riders out to train or exercise their horses, Kyla Picken is lucky enough to live on the premises with hers.
The Grade 10 Curro Mount Richmore pupil is riding not only her own horses but also those of other riders who are unable to reach their steeds.
With schooling still continuing online she has to manage her time so as to fulfill her schooling obligations.
She wakes up at 5am to ride three horses for yard clients, then begins school at 7.30am.
After school she is back in the saddle to exercise four more horses, coming in from the yard around 7pm every evening.
