Trinityhouse Palm Lakes successfully welcomed back their pupils since the lockdown closure of schools in March.
Although the atmosphere was different from when they left 3 months ago.
Staff and pupils took the necessary precautions in their stride and are adapting well.
From Grade R to Grade 7 the school is once again a hive of happy pupils and teachers.
During lockdown learning did not come to a standstill.
Through Microsoft Teams, pupils were able to keep in contact with their teachers and friends and take part in online lessons.
Michelle Ballot, a mom of twins in Grade 00 had this to say on their families experience with online learning: “Online learning has given our family a look into what our kids were actually doing and learning at school. It was a great reminder about how much these bright little minds know and what they are capable of. It has been a unique opportunity for one on one quality time and having fun while learning.”
Staff were also kept busy with lots of online training.
Grade 1 teacher Kerri McIver said she was looking forward to using these new skills in the classroom.
