Bloom Special Needs School athletes show their mettle

Not only have these interactions fostered beautiful connections, but also contributed to a sense of belonging among the Bloom pupils.

Special bonds were forged when Bloom Special Needs School pupils participated in the Umhlali Preparatory inter-house athletics day on Wednesday and Thursday last week.

Over the past term, Bloom and Umhlali have joined forces in a collaborative effort to create integration opportunities between neuro-diverse Bloom pupils and the neuro-typical community of Umhlali pupils.

This partnership has yielded positive results, especially during physical education lessons at Umhlali, where Bloom pupils have seamlessly integrated with various Umhlali grades.
