Fierce but fun friendlies ahead of school hockey season

Curro Salt Rock host hockey friendlies following iLembe Country District boys' and girls' hockey teams' announcement.

Curro Salt Rock High School and Crawford International North Coast prepared for the upcoming hockey season with a set of mixed friendly fixtures on Wednesday.

Curro hosted Crawford for a set of boys and girls open hockey matches on the home team’s astro.

Both matches were tightly contested, with few goals between the sides.

The friendly matches alternated between the boys and girls using five 10-minute ‘chukkas’ for each game.

Although the results were of little consequence, Curro came out top in both matches without conceding any goals.
