Sixty-six pupils at RA Padayachee Primary were thrilled to receive new backpacks, shoes and stationery courtesy of Amazon and the Ballito Lions Club.

The packs were donated by Amazon and recently handed over at the Shaka’s Head school by members of the Lions Club, including President Selvan Govender, Project Director Paul Naidoo and Jennifer Lambrechts.

“We would also like to extend our deepest admiration to the dedicated teachers and principal, Mrs Radha Mayappen, who has devotedly served the school and has now retired,” said Lion’s fundraising director, Ken Chapman.

“Despite facing numerous challenges and limited resources, the school continues to show unwavering commitment and passion for educating and nurturing their students. Their selflessness and perseverance are a testament to the power of devotion and care.”

Chapman said the Ballito Lions are focused on supporting local education initiatives when the need arises.
