Ashton 1st team perform with distinction at Waterkloof netball festival

The team won seven of their matches, including beating hosts Hoërskool Waterkloof in the prestigious netball tournament in Pretoria.

Ashton International College Ballito girls’ 1st team put in an outstanding effort at the annual Hoërskool Waterkloof netball festival in Pretoria.

The tournament took place from Friday, March 28 to Monday, April 1, with 120 teams from across the country – and Namibia – competed for the title of best netball team in southern Africa.

The North Coast school competed with distinction on the highveld, winning seven of their 10 matches (one game was cancelled).

The Ballito school beat Rietz, Vrede, Gerit Maritz, Westvalia, Bergvlam, Oosterlig and hosts Waterkloof. Defeats came to Redhill, Jeugland and Voortrekker.
