#Schools: Ashton pupils win big at eThekwini Eisteddfod

The school’s musicians, dancers and actors impressed at the St Mary’s event.

Ashton International College Ballito pupils excelled at the recent Ethekwini Eisteddfod, held at St Mary’s in Kloof.

This regional arts and cultural competition provides a platform for school pupils to display their talents across various performing arts categories, including vocal and instrumental music, drama and dance.

Karen Mhlanga impressed with her musical performance, while Mila Miller excelled in her dance act.

Ashton’s talented musicians impressed the judges, earning top honours across multiple sections.

The school’s pianists achieved one diamond, three gold, three silver and one bronze award, while the vocalists walked away with one diamond, 12 gold, three silver and five bronze awards.

The Ashton strings ensemble also delivered an exceptional performance, securing 12 gold, 16 silver and three bronze medals.
