Darnall Primary School proudly celebrates 110 years of excellence, offering wholesome education for children from Grade R to Grade 7.
Through sport, the school aims to provide all children with exposure to various sporting codes and the associated skills, thereby creating awareness of and responsibility for a healthy lifestyle. Healthy attitudes towards fair play, honesty, reliability and respect are all prioritised. Sport is compulsory, and all pupils are expected to participate.
The school is fortunate to have dedicated and enthusiastic staff members who have the interests of every individual at heart. They are aware of current trends in education, sensitive to individual learning needs and styles, and committed to developing the whole child holistically.
School facilities include air-conditioned classrooms, each equipped with whiteboards and e-beam projectors for interactive learning, as well as a well-stocked library and a computer centre with an interactive Smartboard. Coding and Robotics are offered through Code4Kids, and pupils also engage with Mathletics (a mathematics programme), Reading Eggs (a reading programme), and Writing Legends (a writing programme).
Children are encouraged to be responsible and accountable for their actions while developing a healthy work ethic.
Small class sizes ensure that individual strengths are recognised and celebrated while learning difficulties are quickly identified and remediated.
