To make things from scratch is not easy these days with food prices the way they are, but this doesn’t stop Hannes who makes some fantastic deli meat from scratch, including kudu, salami, coppa ham and panchette, which are absolutely divine!
Besides the cold meats they also bake their own breads and Hannes recently won a gold medal in Austria for his litchi schnapps.
If you ask nicely he might give you a taste – it really warms the core.
The food is excellent with the gourmet burgers being a real hit.
They are also really big and I barely managed to finish mine. My partner’s chicken wrap was nice but it did lack a bit of punch.
A little bit of sauce would have added some more flavour.
I had a taste of Hannes’ home cured gravlax* which is a real classic dish and it was phenomenal!
The service is great with Erica always keeping an eye on everyone. I’m not a big coffee drinker, but I really enjoy their brand of Italian imported coffee and there are three different coffees to choose from. I can easily say that this is one place where I could eat everyday!
