On Tuesday, September 2, my little three-year-old granddaughter and I had a mishap on the descending escalator at Lifestyle Centre.

I fell down, which left us traumatized and I was hurt. I would like to express my gratitude to the gentleman who helped us up and the security staff who quickly stopped the escalator.

Also thank you to the lovely lady who stayed with us and offered comfort to us until the sister from Eastcoast Pharmacy arrived. Thank you for your kind help and the concerned folk who kindly stopped to see if they could help. My opinion of Ballito folk has risen and we really do have lovely, caring people in our community.

My grateful thanks once again to all concerned.
