How can I ever verbalize my heartfelt gratitude to the IPSS team patrolling the Colwyn Drive, Sheffield area on Thursday, last week.

Once alerted by a third party, they responded efficiently and promptly to come to the aid of two smash-and-grab incidents, one of the victims being me. Our cars had been parked at different spots along the road when these misfits struck, smashing the windows and grabbing our bags. Sure, I can kick myself now for being such an airhead, but stupid is as stupid does.

What a wakeup call this has been but also highly upsetting for the loss of the holiday-makers whose visit must have turned into a nightmare.

As I had been the first victim, they had already rummaged through the contents of my bag and afterwards disposed of it by tossing it in the bushes.

The IPSS guards were proactive enough to scour the area, finding the contents of my bag inclusive of my bank cards, etc spread over a dense area, and safely returning my bag to me within the following hour. The necessities were intact and no words can express my biggest praise, thankfulness and gratitude. I still can’t believe my luck having these amazing men on the spot and reacting with such expertise.

Thumbs up to you guys, I’ll always remember your sensitivity and competence.
