We are just so sick and tired of electricity cuts in a certain little section of Shaka’s Rock, it’s actually becoming a major source of irritation now.

Last Saturday the power went off at 3am and came back on at about 6am. Then, just to put the cherry on top, another cut as the Springboks/All Blacks game was nearing half time . . . When I phoned to voice my concern, I received a very relaxed response saying it would be back on for the second half of the game . . . not to worry. This did not happen.

I am trying to run a decent upmarket guesthouse. Guests ask upfront when booking, whether we have all the sports channels available to watch sport – especially rugby. It’s becoming a nightmare (as well as an embarrassment), to offer a good service to guests. They will rather go elsewhere next time. So, where does that leave me? At least the whales were in a good mood, and we thoroughly enjoyed their show!

Please KwaDukuza, this has been an ongoing problem in our area for years – yes years. Surely you can get your act together!

PS And no, it did not matter after all because our guys lost. That’s a completely different story . . .
