The smashing of car windows in Sheffield is sadly a weekly occurrence, and the beach parking at both Christmas Bay and Sheffield should be declared unsafe .
We have a posse of young men who appear out of the bushes with one filthy yellow “security” vest between them, and who declare themselves to the unwary to be “car guards”.
Leave your car and belongings at your peril, for neither your valuables or your car window will be there on your return.
The only safe beach parking appears to be beside Villa Royale, where there is a very large car park and it would promote happy, safe holidaymakers if the powers that be were to put up signs directing holidaymakers to this area, and to make beach access from there.
