I was going to write a letter to the traffic department but shrugged it off as I am from Pretoria and they tend to ignore any letters written to them (in Pretoria).
This morning, Thursday 21, on the same off-ramp, there was a “road block” affecting only taxis. Many had been pulled off and obviously fined or as I see it, the vehicles were impounded.
Unfortunately many other taxi drivers were warned as we saw many occupants being dropped off on the highway.
My heart goes out to the passengers who were affected but I and many people I have spoken to, commend the traffic department for this fantastic exercise.
Keep it up you are doing a fantastic job and I would like to thank the friendly points men for doing a fantastic job too.
