What right do you as an organisation have to do this? Are you aware that it is illegal to detonate these colossal fireworks without permits? Even with a permit, you must notify the surrounding residents of your intent! According to Tongaat SAPS, they were not aware of any application to detonate fireworks on said night. Sadly this smacks of ignorance.
Looking at the current skyscraper of a temple being built onsite, with stairs reaching to the skies, this may be the only way you sorry bunch get to heaven. You seem to forget you are mere representatives, not God himself. We should not hide behind religion to promote advertising and greed. Yes, you held a grand function with the media abounding but you collective fail to reach out to the poor community that surrounds you. Instead you reach out to the more affluent. Do not create an exclusion zone in the very same community that made you.
I am a proud Hindu but very much ashamed of you all. There are residents of different ethnic and religious backgrounds living around our temple. Spare a thought for these poor souls as well.
God does not reciprocate a reaction to money and big buildings. Get back to the basics of religion, that is true humility and respect for others. No matter what we say of mouth and profess to others in the name of religion, the very same creator of which you speak, will no doubt see right through your materialistic hogwash.
So, a word of advice, correct your ways in your end of days before you expect the Almighty to accept you unconditionally!
