In these days of poor service from retailers, here is a story with a happy ending.
I went to the ECR House and Garden show on Sunday June 15. I bought and paid for some goods at Hirsch’s and left it with the cashier to fetch later. On my way out the cashier gave me all my goods .
Upon arriving home in Stanger I found that I had left my stainless steel pots behind. I phoned the cell number on my receipt and a very kind and helpful gentleman told me that they will do a stock take and if they have one extra will phone me. To my surprise, he phoned me in the evening and told me that they have one extra. I informed him that I was from Stanger and if they could send it to the Ballito branch. He went beyond the call of duty and delivered it to me in Stanger the following day.
How’s that for service excellence! You know where I will do most of my shopping in the future. Remember they did not have a reason to tell me that they have one extra but they have integrity.
