What is the fuss all about?

I was interested to read the correspondence re the Ballito promenade. Our son was recently out here from the UK and we decided to treat ourselves to four nights at the beach.
As Umhlanga is too expensive we decided to stay at the Boulders for that time. And what a time we had!
The weather was magnificent, the views from our apartment awesome and the walks along the promenade a highlight. I don’t quite understand what all the fuss is about. The only blight on the promenade is the very end (Spar end) where the bank is falling down and pipes are sticking out and it all looks rather derelict. Apart from that it seems fine. I certainly can’t see it keeping visitors away.
