R1000 donation from ANC candidate

Obviously my good editor friend, Bruce, knows me better that I know myself (Donation from the poster boy?, Courier July 18). My attempt at tree felling as a profession was very short lived after the first gum tree accidentally fell on to someone’s  roof in Salt Rock!
I have tried to contact Paul Dutton, but wish to state that I am a greater lover of the bush and the outdoor and I do apologise to you Paul, and in so doing I cannot accept liability for this unnecessary destruction. As per your request I am prepared to donate the sum of R1000 from the ANC in an attempt to persuade our communities that we do care about our conservancy. We would ask that some of these trees be planted in Shakaskraal and C1 and C2 Nkobongo.
