The world over has witnessed the atrocities committed by terrorist groups, inspired by a poisonous and perverted system that disguises itself as a form of religion as it runs rampant killing innocent lives with no remorse.
From Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, Hezbollah, Al-Shabaab, ISIS, Boko Haram to Hamas, the agenda of terrorism is clear. It is the complete obliteration of a people that oppose their ideologies, using the most inhumane tactics. It is an agenda that is fuelled with malicious hatred and one that has, just in this year alone (January-June) left more than 2 500 people across the world brutally massacred as a result of suicide bombings, car bombs, grenade attacks, explosions, invasions and full onslaughts of killing attacks. For how long will these rebellious and murderous operations perpetuate itself in our society?
We have taken to the streets to protest against a nation and condemn a nation that defends itself and its people from such terror attacks while being blinded about the act of terrorism that is prevailing. Hamas fires rockets from civilian areas directly endangering their own people – fact. Hamas has spent millions of dollars on building terror tunnels with the intention of killing and destroying Israel and its people instead of investing in a defence system that will protect its own women and children – fact. Hamas has broken ceasefire agreements moments after it came into place – fact. Hamas has warned its civilians to remain in their homes knowing full well they will be the victims of Israel’s retaliation – fact.
Why has there been no explanation from any pro-Palestine supporter to justify the above proven facts of Hamas and their agenda? Simply because there is no justification for terrorism! Attention is shifted to the deaths of innocent women and children in an attempt to avoid addressing the reality of active terrorism being the root cause of these deaths.
To be truly Pro-Palestine one would have to be anti-Hamas, yet amongst the cries for the innocent lives lost in the war between Israel and Palestine there has been no shout rising against Hamas, a recognised terrorist organisation, and its agenda of terror.
The only stance in the cry for humanity should be one of anti-terrorism. Terrorism should never be accommodated or accepted. We cannot look at this war with one eye closed anymore!
