In response to the article “ACDP supports Israel” (Courier, August 8), as a community member of Ballito, I would like to say thank you to reverend Nel Sewraj for opposing the decision the municipality took to finance and support the march against Israel.
At least the ACDP seems to be the only voice in council that stands against the municipality’s wasteful expenditure.
Why is everyone else silent in council? I feel that people who want to support their own agendas must not use municipal funds.
I would like to also place on record that there are many people in this community who support the ACDP and understand the ACDP’s actions in not wanting to be involved in such biased behaviour.
So my message to you councillors is, use your own funds to support your own agendas.
Thank you ACDP Ballito for your good intentions.
