In our beautiful country, truth is indeed stranger than fiction!
We refuse the Dalai Lama a visa, on instruction from our new best friends, Russia and China whose human rights records are as bad as each other – Russia denying but the war in Ukraine is obviously testament to weapons and soldier supply to the rebels and shooting down a passenger plane; China constantly sabre rattling against Taiwan!
KwaDukuza municipality spending R80 000 on a march which makes not one bit of difference to the victims or protagonists in Palestine, while thousands are dying of Ebola – desperate for funds to contain the epidemic. Who is worried about the abducted Nigerian girls any more?
South Africa employs an amazingly competent Public Protector who takes such abuse and then gets accused of being aligned to both the EFF and DA – a farce by any standards! All to defend the president who considers himself above any accountability.
Our sluggish economy requires some strategic thinking to create the jobs so desperately needed in KZN, instead we have an MEC who is determined to impose a bed levy of 10% on the bruised hospitality industry to fund bids for large events – why 10% and should areas who do not benefit from these big events fund them?
We await the next episode in this amateur dramatic society production!
