It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3… er, 4

To the woman who drives a purple car, we all have to deal with the appalling traffic situation, and lately I’ve been thinking what fabulous drivers we all are that there aren’t collisions every hour.
But I do think a reminder is in order as to how a four-way stop works. It’s like this: 1, 2, 3, 4. At lunch time on Monday 24th, at the four-way at the taxi rank/old circle, I was no. 4 and you were no. 5.
The man who was no. 7 confused the situation: he drove straight on after no. 3 (the car in front of him), but I already phoned him and told him about our near-collision and he apologised. He drove a marked vehicle so I could easily get his number and remind him about the 1, 2, 3, 4 story.
I concede that I was annoyed that you pushed in front without giving me a second glance (this being the second time in one day that I was forced down the queue), and I did glare at you and shout “It’s my turn! It’s my turn!” (although I don’t think you heard me since my window was closed).
For that I apologise. But giving me the finger was ridiculous. If we can all keep to the 1, 2, 3, 4 rule and be courteous drivers I think we’ll get through this.
