What is planned to sort out our water problems?
“Our leaders” have been very clear in telling us that in Ballito we are going to have a massive water shortage the next few months, but none of “our leaders” are telling us what they are planning to do about it. Are we going to have to queue for water with buckets?
If we look at the levels of the other dams in KZN we will see that there is no drought problem. So why is the Hazelmere dam at such a low level?
I can list so many problems that are arising because of this disaster – businesses suffering, the loss of employment, drop in property prices, anxiety etc. We need some urgent plans.
Why cannot we pump water from another dam? If necessary, shouldn’t national government be involved in this disaster? It would be interesting to see whether there are any “regional leaders” who will appear to show their qualities and who can get us through the crisis.
