I would like to rise to the challenge posed by former Salt Rock Councillor McDonnell, and newly elected KZN MPL, that appeared in the North Coast Courier (“Fail” for non-provision of basic services, Letters, December 12).
I am surprised and perturbed that Ann McDonnell displays a total lack of political maturity. We all understand the perfect science of prediction “after the fact”. Political mischief at the time of crisis and emergency is astonishing.
Like-minded people should be united in order to collectively find solutions to the crisis and the challenge that we face for the next three months, and thereafter we can debate the merits of blame. To do otherwise is irresponsible.
