Yesterday, our highly reliable X trail decided to give up the ghost on the Salt Rock off ramp. I would like to thank all the people who offered to help and who did help at this traumatic time:
Sandy, the young lady driving behind me, who pulled over and stayed with me, offering much needed moral support and then kindly drove me to Gorton at Car Care. To the young gentleman whose name I did not get, who ran the car back to a safe place on the side of the road, to our fantastic neighbour Jack Nisbett and to Gorton of Car Care, who dropped everything and came back to diagnose the problem.
We hear so many negative reports in South Africa, I just wanted to put on record that I was overwhelmed by the friendliness and supportive sympathy, translated into action, of everyone.
Thank you so much, you made my day.
