On my morning walk along the prom I came across our local sand artist Collen sitting dejectedly on a bench looking at the destruction of his beautiful sand art work.
We are all familiar with the faultless and detailed animals and other topical art he has on show on Clarke Bay beach all year round. This is the second consecutive morning I have seen his work destroyed.
To those mindless, heartless people who obviously find it entertaining to jump all over and ruin Collen’s work, which takes many hours to complete, please know that this is his only way of earning an honest living. I hope you have a shred of conscience, enough to find some other way to occupy your time.
