At 6.20am on Monday, January 26, Blake Phillips had a very serious cycling accident next to Umhlali Post Office and was knocked unconscious.
Eric, a supervisor from Fidelity Security, stopped his vehicle immediately to assist us and, after we all failed to contact any emergency services by phone, he agreed to our request to transport Blake to Alberlito Hospital, which assisted greatly in ensuring that Blake was admitted to intensive care as soon as possible.
We believe that the assistance given by Eric was way beyond the call of his normal duties and  should be publicly recognised and applauded and we all believe that he is obviously a credit to his employer, Fidelity Security, as well as to our community.
Blake also wishes to publicly extend his grateful thanks and appreciation to Eric for his prompt assistance and action.
