It’s Monday morning and the rain is falling – but not just falling, pouring down and still I wonder how many sceptics out there are questioning.
For the past year or so I’ve constantly watched every weather report imaginable. Every time it had shown a cloud with rain I’d be jumping up and down, only to be disappointed by a light little drizzle.
So in the midst of the worst drought in 100 years, Angus Buchan, a devout man of God, is called upon to come into our community to pray for rain. He prays on the Friday, promising that there will be rain and that we just need to “believe” and have “faith.” And what happens? The following week the rain begins to fall. The good and proper rain! And yes, there on the weather report is that same cloud showing that same amount of rain that it has been showing for the past year, but this time it is raining.
Yet there will still be those who will say “Angus read the weather report for the week ahead.” Come on. Have a little faith. The weather report has been promising rain for like ever. Angus prays once, and the next week we have rain. And lots of it too. I fail to comprehend why so many people still refuse to believe that our Heavenly Father really exists and is capable of things beyond our own comprehension and he listens to the cries of his people.
Just have faith and you will be blessed beyond comprehension.
