Please be considerate of all the residents – humans and little animals – when driving in Gail Road, Sheffield beach.
I have been here for eight years and ask, please drive slowly in this residential area. It’s not the place to test drive your vehicles. Go do that on the freeway.
My kind neighbours just assisted me in removing a dead monkey in our street that had been hit by a car – the cruel reality of speed in a residential area. Baby monkeys playing nearby were in the street trying to assist him before we arrived and with the speed people drive in our street we are lucky more innocent lives have not been lost.
Please municipality/department of road works: we have asked for assistance with speed humps in Gail Road so many times and never had a response from you. Our children can never play outside our gates as it’s just too dangerous to do so. Please consider the children which may accidentally stray and the wildlife which don’t know any better.
Many mornings it’s the parents after dropping kids off at the nearby pre-primary school who speed down our road in avoiding speed humps in surrounding roads. Believe me I hate speed humps but we must find a way to slow down these drivers who are inconsiderate.
Please imagine your child was killed and how you would feel. Let’s do something about the safety in Gail Road before it’s too late.
