The article on the front page of last week’s Courier regarding the new Mega Mall mentions that there will be a generator to cope with load shedding but there is no mention of creating a self-sustaining “green building.”
Surely, with the electricity and water crisis our country is facing an alternate plan should be of paramount importance.
Hopefully, as the building goes up we will see solar panels and wind turbines at least and many rain water tanks so that the drain on our resources will be minimal.
