Wonderful April Fool story

I picked up the Courier yesterday afternoon at Tiffany’s Spar and only read it when I got to my daughter’s home at Sheffield Beach. I started to read it to her when she immediately got on the phone to her hubby who is an avid beach walker (with his two daschunds) to warn him of the new ruling as from the previous day!
Much to her dismay, he started laughing and pointed out that it was an April Fools’ joke!
Right . . . So we read the complete story – BRILLIANT! Right down to the librarian’s name, Malcolm Huggies and bringing Sappi into it as well.
Once again, congratulations on a brilliant piece of reporting. But please can I point out that there are spelling errors (deliberate or not) on the sign board photograph – unlicenced should be spelt with an ‘s’ – unlicensed and offence spelt with a ‘c’ as I have just done. Not the American way.

The librarians were amused and the spelling errors were deliberate. Glad you enjoyed our little annual joke – Editor.
