It appears from an inspection of the 2015 property valuation schedule that the value of the Salt Rock Hotel and Caravan Park is shown as R26.5 million.
This is for a 100 bedroom hotel and a large caravan park on about 46 000sq metres of prime nearly flat commercial beachfront property. This is about twice the valuation of some four bedroom beachfront homes in Sheffield Beach.
