How privileged we are to have in our midst a person such as Dr Nivasha Naidoo (Shakasakraal has room to grow, Courier, April 3). Though a newcomer in town she has revealed her true humanity to the plight of the community.
She has taken upon herself to do what she can for the drug plague in the community. Her effort should be praised and applauded. The whole community should rally with her to stop drugs being so freely available. Surely all drug dealers know they are hated and despised in the community.
Since drugs are so harmful to one’s mental, emotional, physical, social, moral and financial well being, no one should be stupid enough to do or sell drugs. Drug dealers’ greed for financial gain is so great they don’t care to see the effect of drugs in the community.
God said what you do to others will be done unto you, and what you sow, you will reap. No one can defy God’s laws and not suffer the consequence.
God created all creatures with intelligence and not one deviates except humans, who choose to be immoral, criminal, abusive, addicted and violent even though it is the cause of so much pain, suffering, heartache and sorrow.
So even God would wonder why humans choose to be so stupid when He created them to be intelligent.
