We are proud of the achievement of the Tinley Manor Temple kavady festival. A change of management is good for the public. After all it is a public monument which is 102 years old. This change has welcomed the public and devotees like never before.

Everything went smoothly except for the main kavady, which was lacking leadership with fathers and sons dominating, year after year, which I must say is boring.

The officials should add more spice and glamour to the main kavady. There are other devotees with many more weights and pins compared to the main kavady with just a few and small limes. Preference to one devotee is not the way forward on public trust.
