Will you be a force for positive change?
We have all seen the devastation and wickedness in our country, people fighting and hating more and more. We can’t deny these things or sugar coat the reality in any way, however I believe we can’t give up. One Love Revolution stands for what is right and not who is right. So while others fight …
We have all seen the devastation and wickedness in our country, people fighting and hating more and more.
We can’t deny these things or sugar coat the reality in any way, however I believe we can’t give up. One Love Revolution stands for what is right and not who is right. So while others fight we will love and serve the people in need. Every person deserves food, shelter, education, a healthy environment and most of all love.
I went to an organisation yesterday and I was moved by the hearts and hard work these people put into providing food for the children in the Zamani township. It was amazing to see that in between all the fighting between grown ups in our country there are children who run barefoot over hills to get a small bowl of food. We can’t do everything but we can do something.
I spent the day with a beautiful young girl, Denise, who assists in the running of the KwaDukuza branch of Food For Life. As tiny as she is, she helped me to light the fires to make four massive pots of biryani. The owner Babu Sampath, joined us later as we loaded the food on to the back of the bakkie. His story and heart is truly in the right place in feeding these children. His face lights up as he sees the children approach because he knows for one night these children will sleep with a full tummy.
I would like to challenge you to go out and do the same, to buy a loaf of bread and milk and give it to someone who can’t buy it themselves. We can all complain about the state of our country but it won’t change a single thing. Let’s do more, for it will be our small combined efforts that will contribute to a big change.
I hope that every person who reads this message will decide for themselves if they will be part of the positive change and speak life into our own lives and those around us. I would like to once more thank Babu Sampath, Denise and Gertrude for their amazing work.
