Having lived in Ballito on and off from 1997 until 2012 when we moved here permanently, I have read letters to your paper frequently.
The concerns the letters in the June 26 edition by Messrs. Cecil Gore (Moaners), Christo Viljoen (M4 heavies), Daryl Kimber (Drowning in filth), Jan Scheepers (Hazelmere dam mismanagement), Jeff Pexa (Lack of extreme measures), Thriven Naaido (Fire hose washing) and Karenne Bloomgarden (Things she can’t understand), have been reported time and again with seemingly no interest or response from our esteemed councillors and persons in authority at local and regional government level. It just goes on and on and on!
It is though, a well known fact that there are many moaners who never attend meetings to hear the discussions regarding the Dolphin Coast and to express their thoughts in matters related to the well being of society and environment. Cecil Gore is absolutely correct when he bemoans the apathy of the Ballito residents
And by the way, who says it is going to rain in September? The world is currently experiencing a huge climate change and the El Nino phenomenon is very strong.
