I wish to express great disappointment with the municipality as they are failing in their duty. My family and I visit the Shakaskraal cemetery as often as we can but the condition of the resting place is getting worse.
Following previous complaints they have fenced the cemetery but locals are still using it as a dump site. Papers are strewn all over and there are alcohol bottles and animal waste. It is used as a short cut for residents and a playfield by youngsters.
The dead need a clean environment. Family members have every right to visit a cemetery that is clean and tidy. Why dishonour the dead? This is what happens when you blindly trust (believe they will do their duty as promised) people in authority.
