The traffic lights at the intersection of Darnall and the Zinkwazi road, crossing the R102 between Stanger and Mandeni, have been out of order for many months despite numerous phone calls from residents to the traffic department.

This intersection is used daily by school children being transported to and from many schools in the area and is a very dangerous crossing without working traffic lights or any form of road markings/warning signs anywhere and motorists are neglecting to use it as a four way stop.

Do we all have to wait for a major accident possibly claiming children and family’s lives before action is taken?
