Having been aware of the postal inefficiencies I read the expiry date of our vehicle licence on the disc prominently displayed on the windscreen and went to the same Indian lady who could not have been more helpful when she explained the car was registered in my wife’s name, which resulted in extra submission being necessary. The next day I had the disc with no problem.
A friend had the same problem as the vehicle was in his son’s name and he was on long leave overseas. After several e-mails the required disc was issued with no harsh words.
Perhaps a friendly approach from the customer’s side of the counter could have meant the cashier could also have had a good day.
