What kind of mother tries to prevent her child from learning a valuable life lesson, and instead seeks to teach him to use the race card as the only defence of an inexcusable act? (Court challenge to Ashton College ‘no drugs’ policy, Courier, October 16)
What would the future of this community be if everyone thought like that, with no regard for the consequences of innocent young children coming across a drug-peddling grade eight pupil? Congratulations to Ashton College for adhering to its clearly-spelled-out ‘no-drugs’ policy, which mother and son were aware of when they joined the school, but are choosing to ignore now because it doesn’t suit them.
