Mr Mitchell, in response to your letter “Please stop being ‘offended’ by everything,” (Courier, October 23), your brief dissection of the letter “The customer is always right,” (Courier, October 9) is distilled with a strong mixture of bias and wrongful assumption.

If you had read the letter thoroughly, together with the food critic’s article, you would have seen that it covered all aspects which your little rant did not. Judging by your poor response, sitting on ‘beer crates while dining on goat meat’ will result in people taking your dissection with a pinch of salt as it had no relevance.

I would have loved to have read your dissection of the letter body as it would have been quite comical. Next time please read a letter/article thoroughly before making hastily assembled poor responses, as the only conclusion that it leaves me with is that you are a very closed-minded individual who has had a very sheltered culinary experience and I can’t help but wonder if your letter will equate to a couple of ‘freebies’ at your respective establishments.
