The Umhlali River which once flowed so beautifully under the bridge is no more!
The river bed is now covered with overgrown trees, shrubs and all sorts of weeds, even gum trees. We used to enjoy standing on the bridge and watch the river flow over the stones.
A few years ago we had a huge flood and since then the river turned into a forest. Is there no one who is in charge or are we living in a don’t care world?
Please people get someone to clean the river bed and let the river flow again! If we do get lots of rain, the weeds and trees are going to drink the water and there will be no river. Please help.
