On December 16 my wife, little daughter and I were leaving the Ballito Bay Mall at the Woolworths entrance. As we approached the ramp exit to the parking area, KDM 28 (clearly marked in the attached picture) was illegally parked across the ramp.
My wife was pushing the trolley as I was carrying my daughter. I gestured for the driver to move the vehicle as he was obstructing the walkway. He couldn’t be bothered, so I shouted for him to move (the passenger window was open). He barely moved as we struggled to get the trolley between the kerb and the vehicle.
Is this how a traffic official is supposed to promote the rules of the road? What exempts him from finding a parking space like every other driver?
Interesting to hear what the Head of KDM Traffic and Crime Prevention is to say in response.
