On Friday, December 11 at about 1pm, my husband had a serious car accident 10 metres from the Tongaat toll plaza.
I would like to thank Joshua for being so considerate and understanding even though it caused him injuries and a damaged car; to his father for coming so promptly and for being so kind too; to the lady doctor who attended to my husband so promptly; to Aysanda who was my husband’s caring guardian angel; to the toll gate employees who were quick to rally around; to Netcare 911 for their quick response, care and kindness; to Ismail (Bigshow) who sorted out the towing and clearing up of the accident; to Alberlito Accident and Trauma Unit and the attending doctors for their care and kindness; to my daughter-in-law Stacy for being there for me when I needed her and for her loving, kind help; and to all friends who have sent good wishes for Kevin’s recovery.
We are blessed to have such a caring community.
My husband would also like to apologise to all N2 southbound road users at the time, for the inconvenience it caused you.
I urge all motorists to drive with care and consideration to yourself, to those who are passengers in your vehicle, and to all on the road. Better to keep your temper or take a few minutes longer than to kill a loved one or an innocent person. If you do, your life will be changed forever.
