Earlier this year my husband and I went to the Stanger Pick n Pay shopping centre. We did what business we had to do and walked to the car. That is when we realised our car keys were no longer in my handbag. We retraced our steps to the various shops we had been in as well as Pick n Pay itself. We reported our loss to the store manager as well as the centre manager whereupon they alerted their security guards to watch our car and to keep an eye out for the key. In the end, all to no avail. The keys seemed to have simply disappeared and so we had to phone our insurance company to have our car towed home. Living in the sticks as we do, getting another special key made up would have been complicated and expensive. So before we took that route we phoned the centre manager again to see if our keys had perhaps been found or handed in. He said they hadn’t, but he that he would send his own security guards to scour the shop for them again. Less than an hour later he phoned us to say the keys had been found! To say we were relieved and grateful is putting it mildly. My husband and I would like to extend our grateful thanks to Pick n Pay Stanger staff and management for taking an interest in our situation (very unusual in this day and age).
