Spend on our people, not entertainers

I cannot believe that people live in such terrible conditions (Isithebe’s Forgotten People, Courier, March 18). No wonder they do what they do. I am not saying that I agree they burn down factories, but can you just imagine the shocking conditions that they have to live under? I absolutely do not understand how R3.6million …

I cannot believe that people live in such terrible conditions (Isithebe’s Forgotten People, Courier, March 18). No wonder they do what they do. I am not saying that I agree they burn down factories, but can you just imagine the shocking conditions that they have to live under?
I absolutely do not understand how R3.6million can be spent on Nicky Minaj. Are our own entertainers not good enough to put on a show? Why can we not spend that amount of money on making better living conditions for our people ?
I know what the reply is going to be – “we do not have the money”! We do, if we can spend so much money on entertainment.
