Last Thursday, April 14, I was in the queue at KwaDukuza licensing enquiries office following two white females, who were there to register a car.
The official politely asked them if the car belonged to one of them. The answer was no. Then the official politely explained that they had to take the form to the owner of the car. But with a very bad attitude they took it to the counter and tried to fill it in. Unfortunately they made a mistake, then went back to the official to ask for another form.
He told them again that the form had to be filled in and signed by the owner of the car. To them it was like the official did not want to give them another form, then one of them trespassed to grab it. The official told her that she was not allowed to come behind the counter. She disregarded his order and took two forms and threatened to open a case against him if he messed around with her, because she claimed to be pregnant!
Phew! What a barbaric manner in which they acted. They were totally ill-mannered. Most of us customers are always complaining about service but it truly came to my attention that we need to get our facts right. Irrespective of race, the officials deserve respect.
