We drive past the intersection, both at the beginning and end of a school day, and it is always a nightmare! I cannot help but wonder how this congestion affects emergency vehicles or private vehicles in emergency situations?
There are also a number of doctor’s rooms affected at The Well and The Sanhall business park. For a doctor time is money and for a patient trying to arrive for an appointment on time, the early morning and afternoon traffic is a big obstacle.
There might come a day (if there has not already been one) where there may be an emergency situation and, considering the traffic at this intersection, the ambulance response vehicles will not be able to get to the patient in time, or worse, have a patient die in the back of an ambulance because they are stuck in school drop-off collection traffic.
I wonder if it is not possible to consider an alternative entrance to Ashton? Surely with the continued development in the area, this can be put forward as a future project.
