LETTERS: Please stop this race track

I am the owner of Harcourts Dolphin Coast and our offices are at 11 Jack Powell Rd in Ballito. Our offices look onto the road and we are at the premises from 8am until 4.30pm.
I have sent a similar e-mail (as this one) on three occasions in the past to the municipality to ask for help.
We have been at these premises since 2006 and I have reported at least six serious accidents and numerous minor accidents. With the increase in traffic in Ballito, Jack Powell Rd has become a race track for cars, motor bikes and taxis.
There is a taxi pick-up point in front of our offices and many people (on foot) use and cross this stretch of road. I can guarantee that somebody is going to be killed soon if something is not done to slow down/calm the racing traffic.
I suggested from the beginning for speed bumps to be installed to calm down the traffic. All we ask is for the roads department to at least inspect the road situation.
I am pleading on behalf of all road users, pedestrians in particular, that this racing track is made safe for all users again. I can assure you that it is at present very dangerous to use this road.
